UR4-DSR Remote Programming

Programming your remote control allows you to control your TV and VCR as well as your digital cable box.

Two notes before you begin:

  1. Many TVs and VCRs have more than one code listed. For these, start with the first code. If that doesn't work, try the second code and so on.
  2. After entering a correct device code, the TV or VCR will turn off when the correct three-digit code number has been entered. You can verify you have selected the correct code by pressing the POWER button, the equipment should turn on or off.

Which device would you like to setup?


Programming for your TV:

1. Turn on your TV. Click on the arrow below to find and highlight your TV manufacturer from the pull-down menu below:

2. Press the TV button and ENTER button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The TV LED will turn on indicating the unit is ready to be programmed.

3. Now enter the 3-digit code shown below:

Many devices have more than one code listed. For these, start with the first code. If that doesn't work, try the second code, and so on.

If your TV turns off, press the TV key to store the code. If your TV doesn't turn off, try the other 3-digit codes shown above.

4. After you have entered the correct code your TV should turn off, then point the remote at your TV and press TV to store the code. The TV LED will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored.

If you have tried all the codes listed for your TV and it still does not turn on or off, click here.

Programming for your VCR:

1. Click on the arrow below to find and highlight your VCR manufacturer from the pull-down menu below:

2. Press the VCR button and ENTER button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The VCR LED will turn on indicating the unit is ready to be programmed.

3. Now enter the 3-digit code shown below:

Many devices have more than one code listed. For these, start with the first code. If that doesn't work, try the second code, and so on.

If your VCR turns off, press the VCR key to store the code. If your VCR doesn't turn off, try the other 3-digit codes shown above.

4. After you have entered the correct code your VCR should turn off, then point the remote at your VCR and press VCR to store the code. The VCR LED will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored.

Programming for your TV/VCR Combo:

Note: If all functions fail to work on the VCR or DVD or TV/VCR combo, reprogram the remote to another manufacturer's device set up code that will turn off the VCR or DVD or TV/VCR combo.

1. Click on the arrow below to find and highlight your TV/VCR manufacturer from the pull-down menu below:

2. Press the VCR button and ENTER button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The VCR LED will turn on indicating the unit is ready to be programmed.

3. Now enter the 3-digit code shown below:

2. Press the AUX button and ENTER button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The AUX LED will turn on indicating the unit is ready to be programmed.

3. Now enter the 3-digit code shown below:

Many devices have more than one code listed. For these, start with the first code. If that doesn't work, try the second code, and so on.

If your DVD player turns off, press the AUX key to store the code. If your DVD player doesn't turn off, try the other 3-digit codes shown above.

4. After you have entered the correct code your DVD player should turn off, then point the remote at your DVD player and press AUX to store the code. The AUX LED will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored.
