DRC8000 Searching

If your TV, VCR, or Auxiliary Component does not respond to the remote after trying all of the codes listed for your brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try searching for your code.

For example, after trying all of the codes for your TV, you still cannot get the DRC to operate your TV, then:

  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. On the remote, press and hold the TV button and the POWER button at the same time until the indicator is on.
  3. Now, repeatedly press the CH+ or CH- key until your TV turns off. You may need to press CH+ or CH- a number of times.
  4. When the TV turns off, press the TV key to lock in the code.
  5. Then the TV indicator will blink twice to indicate that the code is accepted. Now the TV set code is programmed.

To search for codes of your other components, repeat steps 1 through 5, but substitute the appropriate device key (i.e. VCR or AUX) for the component you are searching for.
