When you transfer your number from an existing landline phone company such as Century Link to our services, your number transfer fee does not include activating existing telephone outlets in your home. You may follow the instructions below to activate your telephone outlets or contact us to schedule an appointment for a $15 fee.

Phone Box From Local Phone Company

Go out to your phone NID (phone box installed outside of your house) this is usually on the side or the back of your house where your house connects to your local phone company like the picture you see here.

Disconnecting Local Phone Company

Open the box and disconnect the incoming phone line from the network by just simply unplugging the phone line from the phone jack as shown in the picture. This will isolate your in-house phone lines from the phone company and allow all phones to ring with your GrandStream unit connected.

Activating Your Phone Outlets

Plug one end of a phone wire into the "Phone 1" port of the GrandStream unit and the other end into the telephone wall outlet. This will activate all your existing home phone outlets with your MiPhone service.
