Installing Your Digital Telephone

Installing your MiPhone service is done in a few easy steps. You'll need:

  • Your MiPhone Grandstream adapter with an ethernet cord
  • An active Internet connection
  • A touch-tone telephone and telephone cord

Step 1:

  • Take the Grandstream phone adapter out of its box and plug your regular telephone into the Grandstream port labeled Phone 1. Your telephone can be of any type as long as it is a touch-tone.

Step 2:

  • Plug in your Ethernet cable into the Grandstream port labeled WAN and make sure the other end of the cable is plugged into your Cable Modem.

Step 3:

  • Plug another Ethernet cable into the Grandstream port labeled LAN and make sure that the other end of the cable is plugged into your computer or wired/wireless router.

Step 4:

  • Plug in the power cable into the 12v port on the Grandstream adapter and then plug the other end into an electrical outlet.

Step 5:

  • Wait until the POWER, WAN, and LAN lights on the Grandstream are lit solid. If your WAN and LAN lights are blinking, your Grandstream adapter is updating its information and may take a few minutes to complete.
